Information for Patients
All represented consultants are registered as providers with the major healthcare insurance companies and charge in accordance to the various insurance company guidelines with respect to both investigative and interventional procedures.
The practices also welcome patients who choose to fund their own consultations and/or treatment.
Patients should obtain a referral letter before making an appointment. Referral letters can be written by a GP, another hospital consultant who is presently providing treatment or healthcare professionals such as physiotherapists.
Please telephone for advice if you are unable to obtain a referral letter.
All fees are available on request.
Please note that the contract for care is between the patient and treating consultant and is entirely separate from the patient’s contract with their private medical insurer or any hospital they may attend. The patient remains liable for any fees incurred until the amounts are cleared in full.
Patients who choose to use healthcare insurance may reclaim all or some of these fees (depending upon the type of policy held there may be excess payments or co-payments) however, patients remain responsible for the fees until they are cleared by the insurance company.
We can arrange to send relevant invoices to healthcare insurance companies on behalf of patients who notify us of the insurance details prior to attending for appointments.
